Kuroke no Basuke follows a high school basketball team as they go on to win championships and showcase the different players in the team. Basketball is a very popular sport in the media too with so many tall men and women in a group.
Back in Teiko Junior High, Kuroko no Basket’s “monster” Daiki was the ace of the Generation of Miracles: a team of five players with phenomenal skills. Currently, he plays for Tōō Academy – which boasts some of the best players in the nation – as the ace and power forward.
Kuroko did not have time to think further as Akashi-kun unfolded a piece of paper he had been folding and read out, "Dear Akashi Seijurō, Captain of Rakuzan High's basketball club, we are pleased to invite you to be a national player in the Olympic Games that are to be held in Japan early next year.

Kuroko no Basuke (KnB) and Slam Dunk (SD) are similar in many ways. Both animes are about a basketball team, that is slowly making its way to the top of Japan. Main character of SD - Sakuragi can be compared to Kagami (both are red headed, playing same position and even both are quite stupid).
Kagami is shocked to find that Kuroko isn’t good at basketball, in fact, he’s bad! And he’s so plain that he’s impossible to see. But Kuroko’s plainness lets him pass the ball around without the other team noticing him, and he’s none other than the sixth member of the Miracle Generation. Watch Now
Kuroko was in the middle of the street, reaching down for the basketball that had bounced out earlier. Kagami thought no cars were coming, but there was one, just ahead. And it was coming so fast.
Giving 4 average teammates to Kuroko and any other miracle and having them go against each other, it's really no contest. Kuroko can only use his individual skills sparingly because there's no dominant presence and also he'll lose his misdirection pretty quickly.
